I was somewhat discouraged to read this article wondering what I would have done in the same situation. Interestingly, the article doesn't say whether he made it to the lavatory or not. I wonder if you told them you had Crohn's when you boarded the flight if you'd be able to use the business-class lavatory in the case of an emergency. But I feel sorry for the guy whether he has GI problems or not. He's a felon now.

ATLANTA - A man who says he desperately needed to use an airplane bathroom after eating something bad in Honduras faces a federal charge after being accused of twisting a flight attendant's arm to get to the lavatory, the FBI said Wednesday.

Joao Correa, 43, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution he had a bathroom emergency 30 minutes into a March 28 Delta Air Lines flight from Honduras to Atlanta, but found the single coach aisle on the Boeing 737 blocked by a beverage cart. He said he asked if he could use the lavatory in business class, but was told no.

awh that poor guy!

im pretty sure i have pushed people in my rush to a bathroom. im not proud of it, but it happens.
ive been close to delerious in my pain and need for a toilet before!

i hope the case gets dropped. if not for the fact that its a dumb charge, but also that there are wayyyyy more important things that need attention out there

That's terrible but I think I would have said, "Would you let me use that bathroom or do you want me to drop my pants and go right here?" People like that piss me off and especially on an airline where they need to bemore accomadating.

lol creepy! ill bet they would try and charge you for that too....make you pay for the drinks you pooed on.

ill bet that would get their attention jeff! but seriously that part of my brain doesnt work at those times.....i cant form a complete sentence lol

lol yeah I have been known for my sense of humour under those types of situation. Especially flight attendants.

"Ew, now it's all over the drinks trolly..."

I was wondering what would have happened if he tried to crawl over the beverage cart.:ylol2:

From my experience, not under emergency circumstances, the flight attendant will move the cart all the way up the aisle for you to get by. But that may be after they serve a handful of drinks.
