The pain is terrible. Can't sleep or get comfortable at all. Trying not to eat because I just want it to go away. My dr is no help. Isn't in the office today and apparently there is no nurse on call ? Retards. Being so new to this I never have had a full fledged flare like this one. Ice had pain day to day that lasts a few hours but never like this. Still taking my pentasa and Tylenol every 4 hours. I quit the endocort which seems to make it worse. Any advice??

heating pads helped me when i had pain
you can get any anti-sapsmodic from the pharmacy like bentyl or buscopan. they can be helpful for cramps. i think its over the counter.
others like tramadol, codeine/tylenol or hydrocodone are more potent but you will a prescription for that.
i try to avoid them but most of the time i need them, and they help me a little more.
avoid NSAIDs (ibuprofen group).

hospital is a good idea you will bypass the local dr a go strait to the specialists..the will prob put you on iv steroids and run some tests the iv steroids are great
what country are you from in the uk none of the specialists work sundays or easter bank holiday mondays they ussually put you on pain meds and then get s specialist team on you monday morning when they all turn back up for work.
