At present, I am still undiagnosed. However, my doctor thinks that I have Crohn's disease. I'm curious what everyone's first signs and symptoms were that you now attribute to your Crohn's Disease?

I appreciate and eagerly await your replies.

Seemed like I had a flu that lasted for months with body aches, joint pain, abdominal cramping, diarrhea and some vomiting but not often. The real kicker is when I went to the bathroom and saw a toilet full of blood. Not everyone has bleeding though.

My daughter had lots of headaches for months. Then started the fever, diarrhea and abdominal pain.

I had recurring diarrhea with no ther symptoms that would last about 2 weeks and then like clock work reappear every 2 months for another 2 weeks each time. This went on for a year before I finally got a 4-day straight high fever and flu like symptoms plus blood to accompany the diarrhea. I never got or get pain though, and I consider myself very lucky for that.

I was severely dehydrated, went to ER, and when they asked me about the symptoms over the last year they began to mention crohns. I had a colonoscopy the next day and an inflammation level blood test. Both came back indicative of crohns. Biopsies taken in the colonoscopy confirmed it, as well as the Prometheus blood test I did last week.

Hope this helps :)

8-10 bloody, pussy, painful and urgent bowel movements everyday
-horrible stomach cramps
-weight loss, about 40 lbs
-dehydration
-nausea/vomiting

Colonoscopy revealed UC but a CAT revealed narrowing in two sections of my small instestine which led the doctors to believe I had Crohn's

-anemia, but wasn't revealed until after Crohn's diagnosis

Hope you find a diagnosis!

Mild cramping at first which felt like my period was about to start. Then the pain escalated and the constipation started

All my first symptoms were perianal abscess and fistulas. It took a few years for the diarrhea to start and for the disease to show up in my small bowel. I think this is why it took 5 years to diagnose me.

Not being able to leave the house, or going far without needing the loo...up to 10 times a day, no blood, nor pain at that time. Just constant needing to use the loo and anxiety with it.

Mine started out as Ulcerative Colitis. At that time I had rectal bleeding and was brought into the office immediately to be checked out. But, after having a flare for so long & not being treated for it well enough, my diagnosis changed to Crohn's. My symptoms have lately been:

Weight Loss, Diarrhea/stool with blood, dripping blood, stool with mucus, stomach pain & nausea after eating.

Off and on bouts of abdominal pain and diarrhea for years that I always dismissed more than I should have. Then right upper quadrant abdominal pain, weight loss, low grade fever, joint pain, and night sweats for about 6 months...my disease defining event was a DVT/blood clot in my leg which landed me in the hospital. My GI says this was my body's way of saying "too much". Many test later, I am diagnosed with Crohn's and on Cimzia with LDN.

I never had any symptoms, which is why I was totally knocked off my seat when I found out. I was just having a routine "you had a colonoscopy 5 years ago, so it's time for another one". I bet I asked my hubby, "Did he say I had Crohn's Disease?" a thousand times on our way home from that colonoscopy. I'm sure you're all familiar with the forgetfulness after a colonoscopy. I was in complete shock. I still really don't have any symptoms.

Night sweats and pain, which at first seemed more Gynaecological, but eventually changed to pain when ever I ate.
Second stage was weight loss and anaemia.

I had diarrhoea for a long time and didn't do anything about it. I only went to the GP when I had severe abdominal pain I thought might be appendicitis. My ESR was through the roof so I got an emergency referral to a GI who diagnosed Crohn's.

Right before I was diagnosed at age 23, I was having chronic diarrhea and cramping for three months straight. I couldn't eat or drink anything without it immediately coming back out the other end. By the time I went to see a doctor about it, my skin was very sallow-looking and I was so tired, I couldn't put one foot in front of the other. As a small child, I had had lots of tummy aches and painful BM's. The doctors always told my parents I had a "nervous stomach." Not!! :)

Hope you feel better and get a diagnosis soon.
