The idea would to have effective, safe, simple to administer and affordable medication for Crohns and Colitis Disease! Just as many people that have the disease there are that many ways to treat. Just like me and my cousins are all different ....we all have different degrees of crohns.......and we all have different medications! Clearly you and your doctor thoroughly need to discuss the best course of therapy for you!!! I have been very lucky to only need a course of antibiotics and once a year a course of prednisone( just a note for later I hate that drug) But when I got sick I was on a very heavy amount medication. This is the first time I heard the word crohns!

I remember being in the hospital when I was young not really knowing why I was there! I was a teenager and really didn't didn't want to listen to the doctor and nurses and I was mad at my parents for keeping me in leamington hospital.I was is solidarity confinement with a high fever and I turned yellow!!! I was turning yellow because I was jundice.I started to black out after they would bath me in a tub with ice in it! After I would lay in bed with just a sheet on so hot. I was burning up so hot! They had a tub of ice with a fan blowing over the ice then onto me!! I don't remember much of that night except praying to God that this misery would end soon!

The next day my family got me into Old Victoria Hospital in London Ontario,Canada. (there are some great ghost story's told about that place I will one day tell about)I remember the room because it was so small and it was so old. You defiantly could feel something there! In walked to nurses . They looked like mut and jeff! One red hair maybe 5 feet tall . The other Bleach Blond and over 6 feet tall! Then walked into the room My doc. ....Dr. John Howard. He sat by my bed held my had and told me what he thought that I might have but, they would have to do test but, he was sure what I had was Crohns disease. The nurses put a net on the back of my door and played basketball with a nerf ball until Dr.Howard came in to tell me I needed a few liters of blood. There was NO WAY I wanted to get aids. The doctor tried to tell me that everything was tested now.Still there was no way they were getting that in me. The docs, nurses and my parents all stayed with me that night until all the blood transfusions were in and I my blood pressure and color was starting to come back into my face. Thank God for all the events that happened that night . Before that night I was ill and didn't have a clue what was going to happen to me! Now, I had a name to the disease and I was really ready to start feeling better! What I didn't know was my life was going to be a up hill battle! i didn't realize this hospital would be my life for a long time!
