fissure

Hey folks :)

I introduced myself a while back but i haven’t logged in here for a while but i have been reading stuff from time to time.I just have a question or two about fissure's.

how will i know that i have one? i have seen that a symptom of them is blood in the toilet or blood on the toilet paper? what is the effect that they can have if not treated?

I have noticed blood on the toilet paper for a while (months) now but thought nothing of it until today, when there was allot more blood than usual which freaked me out a bit.I get the usual pain when going/wiping lol sorry TMI i know but i suppose it has to be said so that you know what i mean just that today there was more blood :shifty-t: .

Does this sound like one?

Thanks for reading .

It could be or could be a hemorrhoid or could even be a sore inside your intestines. I don't know. I think it's best to make an appointment with a doctor very soon. Normally blood isn't a good thing. :p Welcome back to the forum!

I agree with Crabby...more blood is never a good thing...lol

I found this thread on some tips some other members gave for easing the pain of fissures...some of them may help you until you get to see your doctor:

Good luck.

Cheers for that silvermoon :),thank you.

Mark.
