Fistula confusion?!

I have a question that I can't seem to find a reliable answer to. Obviously this is TMI but I figured this is the place to ask:
I have what I "think" is a fistula[or hemorrhoid, idk!]. I've had experience with a fistula in the past however, this particular thing is very raised. It's like a perfectly straight line starting from the very end of my vag and ending at my rectum. Like I said before, it is very raised, like protruding from the skin. It is fairly stiff to the touch and doesn't hurt too much unless I have an unpleasant bowel movement. I'm so confused what it is exactly. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful!!

Side note: I've been seeing a colo-rectal surgeon for a while and he's done numerous procedures on me in the past few months and he's never brought it up at all. So I am very confused.

I am not sure. But one thing is for sure is that a hemrrhoid would only be in the anal area, not near the vagina. I am not sure what it is you have. Maybe someone else will chime in. Could it be an injury that happened when you had previous surgeries??

Hi Megan,
Not sure what that could be. If you think it might be an abscess maybe you should try applying heat on it to see if it comes to a head?

When do you see the surgeon again? Hoe long have you had this line?

Could be you have a fistula that has a channel that is for some reason straight?
