Flare 1 week before remicade everytime...

Hey guys, So I havnt been here since I started school about 9 months ago, and now its over so im back. And throughout the year ive been on asocol and remicade and since being on remicade, its like a great thing but lately its been slacking. The first 2 or 3 times ive had it ive been 100% the whole way through but the last 3 or 4 times, like a week before my appointment, I start to flare kindof badly. But right when I get the remicade im 100% again. Has anyone else experienced this / what do you think I should do?

I experiance the same thing. I don't get super bad, but you can tell its wearing off. Some have suggested that I should have my Dr. put me on a 7 week regiment. Might want to see what they say.

Have you had any problems about 5-7 days after your treatment with joint pain? This is what gets me the worst.

yup - I would see if you can make the appointments a little closer - even if you don't want to officially go to 7 weeks - try cutting a few days off and see if that makes a difference. For example - I currently go on Mondays, but if I wanted to shorten the time myself, would schedule a Thursday/Friday the week before.....

Hey dexky, It went very well, I am acually living on my own this summer in an apartment working and taking classes. As for the past year it went very well, I did really well in school and now only have 1 year left of college that im looking forward too.

Good to see ya again!
My friend is on Remi, every 8 weeks, and she was the same, flaring just before infusion, so they moved it to every 6 weeks and she's had no problems ever since.
