My crohn's was actually discovered while they were checking me out for severe ovulation pain, though for the longest time, I didn't even make the connection.
The first attack happened on vacation. Over a day, pain on my left side just.. blossomed. To the point where it just took over my entire torso. Everything hurt. It hurt to breathe.
The second came almost 3 years later in college. It started happening with increasing frequency until it happened two months in a row.
That's when I went to the doctor and ended up with a Crohn's diagnosis. I've still wondered about the connection between ovulation and crohn's. But it's always on the lower left side, and it always takes a 4 day course of building, 2 days of excruciating pain so bad I try to just drug myself and sleep through them, before finally ebbing...
