Flare-up?

Hi all, I was wondering- Can a flare up go away on it's own without any medication?

I have been severely sick since February and have been getting progressively worse. This past week was horrendous and I was in more pain than I've ever felt. I normally don't complain but I was crying because of the constant D and abdominal pain. I am not officially diagnosed yet but the dr says he's '98%' sure I have Crohn's (I explained in the My Story section).
He told me that it sounds like I am having a 'flare-up' and to take Tylenol. As you can imagine, it did nothing.
My diet since February has been the BRAT diet and other bland foods. I have been so tired and weak, I finally bought some Ensure to drink. I also had Tramadol left over from my gallbladder surgery in November so I have been taking that. I felt like a different person this weekend. I was actually able to walk and felt good enough leave my house. I am also a bit nervous because since Friday's horrible D episode, I haven't had a BM. It's now Monday and I still don't feel like I have to go.
My question is, is this bad? Could it be the Ensure or Tramadol? Or is this undiagnosed 'flare-up' going away on it's own?

I have a doctor's appointment today but I figured I'd see what you all had to say.
Thanks!
