Ok, again, new to the whole "Crohn's" thing. I've had symptoms for years, really bad since Aug, finally diagnosed 3 weeks ago. So I keep reading about "flare ups," but from the symptoms everyone keeps listing, I have those daily. The cramping, the d, blood in the stool (not daily, but once every few weeks), so have I just been going through a "flare up" for months? I am currently taking Entocort, but have only been on it for a little over 2 weeks, will this ease/stop the symptoms?

Thanks again to everyone for your help!!!! :)

I am new to this sort of thing too although I'm not an offically diagnosed crohnie I have many of the same symptoms as other folks here. I know from personal experience that when I get really bad flare ups a trip to the hospital is usually required and that has only happened once in my life although I doubt the last as this stuff started only three years ago and I'm 25 now. I usually get what's called mini flare ups that last a day or even hours and I get these every couple of months, but when I do get them there is usually bloody D and horrible stomach pains in my lower right side. Other times I suffer from C so I rarely have a normal bm. I'm in the process of getting a diagnosis right now and I'm sorry I cannot be of much help as I just wanted to let you know that people's flare ups very in severity from one person to the next. This I know based on reading from people on here and talking to my docs. I also just want to let you know that you are not alone and I'm am thinking about you even though your symptoms are much more severe than mine. I hope you get better and good luck. Take care.

{edit} I'm sorry they aren't called mini flare ups as they are just what I call them.

I am the same, I have not had a solid poo for over a year and suffer symptoms every day. Diagnosed in November and meds not working
