I've been on humira since February, and after I tapered off of prednisone in late June I've been having flare symptoms such as low grade fevers, fatigue, nausea, and loose stools. I take humira weekly and the effectiveness seems to wain with each injection. My usual doctor is no longer in the clinic regularly, so I've been working with a doctor I don't seem to mesh with. I had a pillcam done and I was informed that the results are normal, but how can that be with fevers, loose stools, and the exact same symptoms I have when I'm flaring? Should I get a second opinion?

The pill cam is a great tool but can still miss things. Maybe a request for imaging like an MRE and of course a scope if there is concern of active disease in the lower bowel.

If you current doc isn't interested in further testing then a second opinion with further testing is in order.

I agree with Clash - a pill cam can definitely miss things. My daughter had a clear pill cam but had inflammation in her TI that was found when she was scoped. It's definitely worth getting a second opinion if you don't like your current doctor.

Have your doctors ever tested for Humira antibodies?
