This is a question for folks who have had resection surgery.

I am meeting with my doctor in a week to discuss surgery. I've had Crohn's for over 8 years and no surgery yet but there is a lot of scar tissue building up. I'm in outside sales and take the last two weeks of Dec off so I am thinking of doing the surgery at the beginning of the month to tie in my recovery time with my planned time off. I have to be (or should be) at the year end meeting for my company which starts the 27th. I will need to fly- about a 3hr flight. If I had the surgery around the 5th or 6th, do you think flying and sitting at meetings all day would be doable?

Those times tie in with when my son had surgery in April, his op was the 7th April. His surgery was the Thursday before a two week school break. We flew home when he was discharged from hospital, about day 10 post op, and he resumed school and university on the 27th April with no issues, it was tiring for him but he found it manageable.

I know the rigours of work are different but it may give you some idea of where he was at 3 weeks post op.
