So both my endoscopy and colonoscopy and all the biopsies looked fine and are normal. I also don't have any parasites and my blood work was great except for the fact that I guess my protein levels were high (norm is 0-4 and mine was 8.4) meaning that there's some inflammation somewhere that he can't see. So he wants me to do a barium swallow to try and see where the problem is. Not looking forward to it and not happy that my Crohn's is active again. Doesn't mean I'm in a bad flare or anything or that I'm out of remission, just means to nip it in the bud now before it gets worse.

So along with the Barium swallow he's also putting me back on 6MP 50mg and something I forget the name, that's stronger than Imodium to take as needed. He also wrote a letter to give to my GP to push for B12 injections because he thinks it'll help me to at least not be so tired.

Well that's my update. I don't wanna drink that nasty crap. XP

Good to hear, for the most part you're doing pretty good. Hope you're able to nip what inflammation you do have in the bud before it gets too nasty. I just did a small bowel series a couple weeks ago. Man, if I don't ever have to do that again, it will not break my heart. I gagged after every drink of that nasty stuff. Good Luck. Keep us informed.

Oh Crabby I hope you can nip whatever it is in the bud. Good luck with your tests and meds, I will be thinking about you!

:goodluck::goodluck::goodluck:

Take care hun, :hug:

Good luck! Hope the small bowel test doesn't show anything too significant.

I just had an small bowel test with the barium last week and didn't think it was all that bad. Maybe I am crazy. Maybe I have been off dairy so long that that shiz actually tasted like a milk shake to me!

Hey, Crabby -- Fingers crossed that results will be good and anything that appears easily resolved. Take care!

Thanks guys. I dunno how many times I've had the barium but I made it through each time ok. Don't like it but if it has to be done then it has to be done. :p

Crabby, the stuff you mentioned that's like Imodium but stronger - it is Lomotil? That's what I take (also on an as-needed basis) to try to slow/stop the d. It works pretty well for me, sometimes on bad d days I need to take 2 pills for it to be effective but on an "average" day I only need one. Also, if I take it for more than 3 days in a row, it tends to really constipate me, so I try never to take it more often than I need it. Good luck with it, and I hope you find the source of inflammation with the barium swallow.

Good Luck Crabby
fingers crossed for you, hope you've not got any inflamm, and it's nipped quick!

Ugh in Pediatrics for the small bowel follow throughs, they cut the drink with koolaid. Which, if you're wondering, makes it so much more disgusting. I always take someone with me and have them count to 20 while I chug. It really helps, because I do not have the motivation in me to drink it all by will.
