15 mins to 1 hour after eating I'm hearing alot of gurgling noises at the terminal ileum resections site. I know I have a stricture at this point and I just wondered if food could reach that area so quick?

Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks

yup...when flaring I can pass food through my intestines in about 15-20 minutes! Comes out looking almost the same as when it went in.....

Before I was diagnosed, I could not finish a meal before having to head to the bathroom. Now thanks to the modern pharmaceuticals (Remicade), I only have this problem when I am flaring.

I never could finish a meal without visiting the loo in the middle of it, or several times during.

Now that I have Stan...still the same. I have the record for a barium with follow thru and the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. The stuff went thru me in 7 1/2 minutes flat. (they didnt give me a trophy!)

Its called rapid dumping. Its not a good thing!

Not sure if this is the case or not (because I often wondered as well) But my understanding that it isn't necessarily the same food that you just injested that is coming out the other end so quickly, but rather trigger foods can cause spasms that cause you to empty your bowels. Althoguh I agree, I sometimes see the same food I just ate come out so who knows?

This has always been a question I've wondered about but never thought to ask lol...thanks for sharing, it all makes sense now :p

Eating triggers digestion. Before my surgery whenever I would eat, in the middle of a meal digestion would start "pushing" through the food that had previously been stopped by the blockage. It could probably go either way.
