Frequent Forms BM's?

Hello, old member, been awhile since I have posted.

Has anyone had an issue with frequent formed stools with urgency?

I have not really had D in awhile which is nice, but I am still having high frequency. 48 times in the last 5 days, all formed, with about half of those bloody/blood in the bowl.

Most of them occur at night, often with an urge to go now and then only small bowel movements.

Anyone with Crohn's here ever have such a thing? This is a new one for me so not sure what to make of it.

Sort of in limbo treatment wise now. Had to stop Entyvio in February due to it not working anymore, did a Steroid tapper but that ended two weeks ago. So now just been on Imuran for the past two weeks and nothing else for Crohns.

It's always something new with this disease.

Happens to me too! Diarrhea is/has never been much of an issue for me, even before I was diagnosed. The urgency with formed BMs was the major problem and, eventually, the indicator that something was wrong. Most often, though, it's a problem for me in the morning anywhere between the time I wake up to about an hour or two after I wake up. Treatment has helped some, but it certainly hasn't taken away all of the symptoms.

Well glad I am not the only one. Thanks for chiming in. Did you end up having any strictures or bleeding?

I wonder if it is related to narrowing/stricture. I have to really strain to go when I do go. More I strain, more blood. Scope in April showed some narrowing with severely active Crohns in rectum.

See GI next week so will be curious what they have to say. Already burned through all the biologics available, so seems like it is either Pred or surgery in my mind. Does not seem like they can not do much when it is so localized to my rectum and after failing anything else.

Really don't want to deal with a permanent ostomy. Temporary one I had years ago was hell.
