My apologies before I start this story as I have tendancy to waffle lol
28 years ago at the tender age of 17 I was diagnosed with UC and given Salfasalazine. So I went into years of remission with flares on and off until 2 years ago I had forgotten about UC put it to the back of my mind until I got C diff.
Inbetween I had a hysterectomy and was diagnosed with V Leiden after clots in my calf.
January this year I was in hospital for Sepsis I was in for 14 weeks and I developed further DVT in my calf and thigh.
I have had may colonoscopies under sedation that failed and finally in November I had a Colonoscopy under general anaesthetic and the results were Crohns disease.
So now I await an upper GI tract MRI on New years eve (can't wait lol)
My consultant GI rang on Friday last to tell me they can't decide what is wrong, that my flares come and go and leave little or no scarring but they spontaneously heal and flare up again in another location?
So now I am confused even more I battle with haematology and gastrology and now I am worried ther is a link between CD and V Leiden which many meds for CD increase the risk of dvt occurring, so now Inbetween a rock and a hard place treat one and the other reacts synario.
Thanks for reading sorry agin for the waffle, Regards Lynne.
Oh and Merry Christmas
