Hi everyone,

Sometimes during the night while asleep, I have a weird thing happening to both my hands. I suspect it may not be crohns related, but as its only happened since this all kicked off, I thought there may be a chance it is, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

It happened last year quite a few times, then stopped for about 6 months, now its started again. While asleep during the night both my hands/fingers freeze up. When I awaken and try to move my hands/fingers they are stuck. I have to very slowly start moving them. This can take several minutes to get them going again. After that, they are all ok.

I tend to sleep with my hands outside the duvet and as this originally started last winter, I thought maybe its ambient temperature related. It can get cold here in scotland during the winter, but we are mid to late summer, so surely this rules out temperature.

As I do suffer from B12 problems, I mentioned it to the GP and GI, but they could not explain it and were not concerned.

Its a bit of a mystery to me and as its not causing any issues during the day, so i'm tending to just ignore it for now.

Hope that makes sense. Does anybody have anything similar?

Toby

Hey Toby,

Can't say I have heard of anyone having anything similar but since you do have B12 problems and that can cause peripheral issues perhaps it is related to this???

Either way I hope it doesn't cause you too much grief!

Good luck,
Dusty. xxx
