Has anyone done this? I'm considering doing this. From what I understand if you don't absorb fructose properly it ferments in the gut and feeds the bad guys. It could prove insight into my problem if I have malabsorption.

I've had two hydrogen breath tests, one glucose and the other lactose. They were a bit time consuming as I had to give a breath sample every half an hour or so for 3 hours, but otherwise very easy. Do you have any specific questions?

Hi. Sorry, not had that test myself, but a lady on my ward in hospital was waiting to have one. The GI and dietician were pretty sure her issues - huge wait loss and burning stomach pains - were due to fructose malabsorption - and were trying her on the FODD map diet while waiting to do the tests.
