Frustrated with symptoms increasing again

Good vibes please.
Going to be putting in another call to the GI today
Week before last i had the vomiting, spent 2 days on round the clock anti nausea meds and liquid diet, then went to soft diet. Spoke with doc again last monday and she advised to continue the soft diet and keep an eye on things and we'd go from there as she wants to make sure its not something more serious but there has been a stomach virus making the rounds in the area and she thought i might have been impacted by that and it was made worse by my already wonky guts.
Now, after following my very boring soft diet and sticking to plain, soft things like soup and pasta without tomato sauce, and mashed potatoes and the like... I am back to feeling very nauseated much of the time and to make matters worse, uptick in the amount of blood i am getting :frown:

we had tried lowering my prednisone right before this last round so last monday she moved me *back* to the 20 mg a day dosage which has previously been efffective but this time... Not so much apparently :/

Doc called back this evening. The good news is unlike the last GI doc she is taking this seriously.

She is concerned about the increase in the bleeding and other symptoms despite a soft/bland diet. Plan for now is to continue that diet, continue all my current meds, increase the prednisone back to 40mg a day (ugh but necessary right now), and shes filing the paperwork to get Humira approved by my insurance (they require "step therapy" before its covered), which she doesnt think will be an issue since we have tried other drugs with no sustained response. Once thats approved, i will be starting Humira and if it works the plan is to start tapering the pred and figure out if Asacol and/or Imuran can be safely stopped.
