crohn's apparently can impact gall bladder... I'm not sure of the connection, but it was theorized that my g/b issues MAY have been due to crohn's. My g/b was taken out laproscopically... in wee pieces, and no stones were ever found to prove they did or didn't play a role in my g/b woes. so, since my disease isn't definitively dx'ed as UC,CC or CD... and my g/b wasn't analyzed post op (it was piecemeal), it is now a moot point. If you think about it, the common bile duct connects the GI tract to the gall bladder, pancreas and liver.. so there is a path in the body for migration of the disease. and Habba Syndrome is connected to pancreas and/or ileum issues. Problem is, since the g/b is considered less than essential, g/b issues are typically addressed by surgery, and don't fall within the realm (typically) of internal medicine, or endrocrinologists. As for what to do re g/b, avoid fatty foods, avoid spicy foods, perhaps try just fluids or clear liquid diet for day or two. Whatever you do, don't ignore g/b issues. Mine got sooo bad, I developed multiple large pancreatic cysts... both deadly painful and a nitemare (not easily operable - really tricky dealing with these surgically, and if you NEED a g/b op, they normally won't do it WHILE you've got these cysts). I had to wait months in agony while they shrunk, getting CT scans to monitor them, and running the risk they'd rupture... and apparently they can do quite a bit of damage to surrounding tissue, organs, etc.., not to mention the "PAIN!".
