Garlic supplements

What are your thoughts on high dose garlic for heart health?

It's enteric coated so I'm hoping not too much gi issues and also as an immune booster doesn't complicate my crohns.

I do need to get my cholesterol and blood pressure in check though.

I don't know about heart health, but I have heard it has other good qualities - such as keeping bugs away (I know people who feed it to their dogs/horses specifically for that) - one down side is the garlic odor can come out your pores - but I don't know if that is specific to fresh garlic or if pills will have the same effect.

Garlique says lowers cholesterol and many say high potency garlic supplements like it lower bp.

My main concern though is that tons of garlic in a pill doesn't make my stomach go crazy.
