I've been reading posts on here about gluten n lactose free foods n that it seems to be helping with the stomach pains
So today I went out n got a few things,
Gluten free bread (seems to be abit dry but tastes ok)
Gluten free biscuits n pasta (not tried yet)
Lactose free milk (smells like baby formula but taste just like milk)
Had my cuppa teas today made with lactose free milk all day,

So far it seems that my stomachs ache isn't as bad so far,

I'm off to buy some vitamin d n b12 tomoz too

It's better to try to isolate foods one at a time to find the culprit. I tolerate dairy and bread fine but others have issues.

I've already been through the isolating of food n drink,
I can't touch an egg or garlic at all,
Herbs in moderation
Ect ect
But I'm having a flare up n read that if I swapped to gluten n lactose free it would help with the flare up abit
N so far so good

I know the urge to find the culprit but keep in mind we are already nutritionally suffering and we don't want to eliminate any sources of nutrition.

While some gluten free breads aren't as nutritionally dense as gluten-containing options, I don't see how having lactose free milk would be eliminating a source of nutrition. In fact, you can go without milk - using a non-dairy substitute, such as fortified soy and rice milk, and still get the recommended amount of calcium and vitamin D from other sources. For example, mushrooms and fortified soy products are a great source of vitamin D. Calcium is also found in leafy green veggies, like spinach, collard, turnip greens, bok choy, mustard greens, broccoli and kale, and from almonds, almond butter, tofu, tempeh, soy yogurt, tahini, black strap molasses, soy-based puddings, fortified orange juice, egg yolks, trout, herring, mackeral, salmon, sardines, and tuna.

There are a lot of options available for those who need to go lactose free - even just for a short time. If you like a treat, Hs86, I'd recommend that you check out Soyummi Puddings. My fave is the tapioca - only lactose and dairy free tapioca pudding on the market, but they also have a few other flavors. Hope the gluten free and lactose free diet gets you through this flare up. My thoughts are with you.
