Going off azathioprine

I started having really major stomach pain and nausea after taking my Aza. The Dr. Told me to half the dose and gave me anti nausea meds. I tried last night and the same pain and nausea started in the night, so I took the anti nausea meds, but the pain is still super intense! So the next step is to go off the Aza. Only the Lord knows what will be next!:shifty-t:

Imuran was the worst drug I ever took. I tried MTX after the Imuran and it work alot better. WE are all different and I pray you find the right one. Hang in There.

I tried Imuran first and it increased my nausea x8443545974952406. It was horrible. But now the doctor put me on 6 MP but that made me nauseous. I am going off of it and now I am waiting for the doctor to call me back and let me know what the next steps are. I will most likely be going for surgery. I hope you get some answers!

ive been on Azathioprine now for 6 years, and its effectiveness is wearing off. Latest colonoscopy was normal but the nausea, tiredness and urgency is back so they think the meds need changing now, god knows what i will be on next. They tried Remicade before my last surgery, and i had a nasty reaction to it...

Hope they manage to sort you out
