good and bad days oh humira

Hi all,

I have had crohns for over 15 years. currently its in my rectum and lower colon. I've been on humira for 7 months now. I still have good and bad days. Only go 2 times per day. 3 on a bad day with no blood. Do I call this a remission. Or if I get a bad day 1 to 2 times a week, should bad days not be happening on Humira? I think the medicine is working sometimes its hard to know for sure.

What do you mean 'working sometimes'? just after your injection? Are you on weekly, or fortnightly injections?...
As to remission, how were you before Crohn's? once a day, or twice...

I'm on Remicade but I also have good and bad days. Bad days for me are 2-3 times with pain most of the day and gas. Good days are 1-2 times with little to no pain. Remission is a hard thing to define as it's different from everyone. I would say if there's no blood, you're not in too much pain and you can live a reasonably good life you are in remission however you'll need your doctor's input on that as well.

Hey, I'm on Humira, too. One injection every two weeks. I also have some bad days - mostly good ones, though. The bad days seem to come around when I'm expecting my period and during it. I've just been dealing with the bad days as they come. I consider myself in remission.

I started noticing symptoms about 4 days before my shot was due. The closer it got to my shot the worse the symptoms. Then as soon as I had my shot the next day I would start feeling better and by the second day all symptoms were gone.
My gi moved me to every 10 days and so far doing great.
You may want to talk to your GI about moving your days up.

Taking Humira for two years, every ten days. Yeah, it will remind me every once in a while that it is still there. Had a bad day last week. I felt horrible in the early AM, really sick and nauseous. Once I had my multiple BM's I felt much better! It was almost as though I expelled poison. I also broke out with a lip sore and a sore on the roof of my mouth. This usually happens when I have a "flare".
