Hi Everybody!
hope you are all ok?
I've had my consultation today and saw my gastroenterologist, Dr. Bassi! Yay!
not the Big Burly Scottish Man with the scary booming voice, and not the Nurse Consultant Paul!
I told him about my sore bum hole! I've been worrying for days that it was an abcess or a fistula. He got a chaparone nurse to come in and asked me to remove my jeans and underwear, so I did.
The nurse came in and I stuck my arse up in the air waiting to be examined.
Dr. Bassi said 'Joan can you just roll back over while I examine your tummy first?'
OMG!!! I was soooooooooooooooo wrecked, and the nurse was in pleats laughing! :ywow:
Any way I haven't got an abcess or fissure or hemmie or fistula, nothing, just a sore bum hole, even sorer now Dr. Bassi's finger has been in there!! :ywow:
He felt my tummy, it was ok.
Dr. Bassi has come to the conclusion that there is no inflammation, all bloods are normal, CRP slightly raised but he's not unduly worried, there's no tenderness in my ileum area, I have no joint pain, and my BMs are less frequent, soooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
He said I'M IN REMISSION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gonna just stay on Pentasa.
It's took me 8 months to get here, after a scary time back in Jan, being in hospital with a CRP of 261, high doses of Pred and Entocort, anti biotics for infection, crippling joint pain, neuralgia, and a sore bum hole!!
which my best pal Penny is mailing me some Calmoseptine for!!
I've told Dr. Bassi that without you lot on this wonderful forum, without your support and care and love, I wouldn't be here where I am now, I would've probably laid down and died!
Thank you all from the heart of my bottom!!
Oh, and I won't be leaving, I'll always be here!
lotsa luv
