Guess what everyone?I got my colonoscopy and upper G.I. test scheduled for tomorrow. It feels phenomenal to finally be getting my tests done so I can start my treatments...yay.BTW the prep is horrible lol

good luck. i didnt find the prep all that bad.. apart from having a sore bum and not being able to eat.. i was starving! :(

Was that the picolax or the Kleenprep? The second is the worst in terms of drinking. It tastes bad and you need to drink stupid amounts.

The first just causes a violent exit. :D

ugh. my prep was so bad (phosphosoda and something else that my brain is wanting me to forget) that I live in terror of needing another one. It was the taste of the stuff I had a huge issue with. I got very nauseous. I had compazine and sipped ginger ale but now I can't stomach ginger ale anymore! I've read that some of you get to use miralax...THAT I could do.

I did the fleet soda also.Horrible. They found nothing wrong with me on my upper g.i. and colonoscopy though.Other than some hemoroids...so great...I'm psycho all of my symptoms come from me having hemorroids...apparently causing a bad ct scan and chronic abdominal pain and diarrhea for 8 years....go figure...anyone know a good forum for hypocondriacs?

yeah, that's about what they found on mine too. Through the whole thing though, my rheum has been saying that because the inflammation comes and goes, what they saw was only a snapshot of THAT DAY, and it doesn't mean there isn't something wrong still. I'm holding onto that little bit of sanity amongst all the other people looking at me like I'm nuts.

Ah, come on now it's all in your head...like we never heard that before...nuts?...nah, it's everyone else..lol

I feel like I'm crazy...ct scan says mucousal and mural thickening....colonoscopy and upper g.i. say I am crazy...Symptoms say something is wrong...everyone thinks I have Crohn's but latest(colonoscopy) says I'm nuts...my doctor says I'm crazy and I'm starting to think I am.

if your doctor says you're crazy, it's time for a new doctor. Remember, ultimately, we pay them to work for us. You wouldn't let your plumber talk that way to you, would you? I don't think you're crazy. I had all but ONE doctor tell me that for years. Basically pat me on the head and send me on my way.

Now I have two more docs that BELIEVE me and are determined to prove that something isn't right. I had to keep trying, and believe me, there were years in between that I didn't pursue anything because I was afraid they'd just poo-poo it all again. The ONLY reason I went to this new rheum is because my husband was seeing him, and mentioned my symptoms to him, and he said "oh, I get patients like that all the time, make an appt, we'll figure it out". Even HE has been a little slower than I'd like getting things settled, but it's so much better than all the years before where I'd get told things like "oh, you just need to relax", or "well, it could just be where you are in your cycle", "you just need to lose some weight" (never got a straight answer as to how that would help my SHOULDERS) and my FAVORITE; "Oh, I'm sure you'll sleep just fine as soon as your husband finds a new job". grrrrrrrrrrrrr
