So got my prescription yesterday and phoned it through to the pharmacy where I go.

So went to town this morning and got the last few bits for my hossy bag. Went to the pharmacy to collect my ensure. Gave the prescription in and what do you know there was a problem! The stupid gp had put 30ml on it where the quantity goes.
The pharmasist has now phoned the gp and is waiting for him to get back to them to double check the amount.
Because I don't drive I will have to wait till tomorrow now to get them. I have 1 left.

And to top it all off, even though I am on a liquid diet, I am now constipated!

I mean really!!!

I am drinking fluids like there is no tomorrow and don't know what else to do.

Oh wow, that is really annoying It is so ridiculous when you get put in such a difficult position by a stupid clerical error which the pharmacist should be able to quickly rectify, or have the doctors surgery called with an immediate reply. You are ill and shouldn't have to run all over time fixing someone else mistakes, I mean it is Ensure, it is not like you are going to overdose on it!!!
As for the constipation, sorry I don't have any advice for you I haven't had that problem yet, only the opposite, but I hope you get some relief soon. (Just be careful if you find you can't pass wind either, because that could mean you have a full obstruction).

This one certainly is. Took him an hour to get back to the pharmacy to say yes he meant 30 bottles.

Have got them now anyway, my friend took me down to get them, so that is sorted.

That's to bad I can't get those here under prescription It's like 8$ for 6 bottles pretty expensive.

I have a pre payment card which means I pay £100 for 12 months worth of prescriptions. Each item on prescription costs £7.40 and that can work out really expensive.

Its bad when you can't even get stuff on prescription though, they should make it so that if your doc thinks you should have it you should be able to get out on prescription.
