Had my 3rd remicade infusion and went into Anaphylaxis and had to be rushed to ER. Does this mena I'm done with remicade?

I have had Crohn's since I was 19 I am 42 now. when I was 30 I had resection and was in remission for quite a few years. My 16 year old son also has Crohn's and has been on remicade for 2 1/2 years and is in remission. i am back to having severe Crohn's again, and just got out of the hospital for having blockages. Since I tried every medicine under the sun in the last 25 years, I was hoping remicade would work for me. About an hour into my infusion my hips felt tight and i got a headache, then i started shivering and was freezing all of a sudden. The nurses said they would stop turning the drip up. then my feet and hands started itching, then burning, i called the nurses over and I was covered in hives. Then my eyes started to swell shut, my tongue started to swell and I had sever chest pains like bad heart burn, my heart rate went o 150 and I spiked a fever. They brought me straight to the Er because my infusion center is in the hospital. the gave me steroids and 150 mg of benadryl, and in about 10 minutes I started to feel much better. i see my Dr next week. Has anyone had these problems with remicade and been able to continue. I'm assuming I'm now done with remicade. This is the first biologic i tried, so what do you think the nest drugs is i should try?

Yeah reactions like that generally mean you are done. The good news if you still have lots of options. Other anti TNF drugs like Humira or Simponi are common or others like Stelara and Entivyo. You have options.
