Does anyone else have an issue with your hair falling out after surgery or just from the crohns? I have like half the hair i did 6 months ago! I brush it and it comes out by the thousands...and its not growing, im sure its nutritional at least partly but i wish it would stop!

Yup i lost loads of hair post surgery. It grows back pretty quickly once you have recovered.

I am constantly shedding hair too, have for years. It seemed to be much worse when I was on Imuran, but I still lose a lot. I have been taking biotin for about a month now, I think it might actually be making a difference. I color my own hair and always lose a TON when I do it; last night I colored again and seemed to lose less than last time.
I actually saved a few days worth in a baggie to show my GI, she didn't seem surprised by the amount.

I'm not even sure..yet..if it's Crohn's I've got or not, but since starting out with my bowel problem 6 months ago, I've noticed I'm shedding loads of hair in the shower.

Nixon is a hair shampoo you can buy that will help with the hair loss, you can buy it at a beauty supply store hope this helps '=)
