Happy Thanksgiving on Thursday!

Anyone doing some black Friday shopping?
I will be standing in the cold at 5:00 am at Jo Ann fabrics to get
my greedy little fingers on some quilters fabric that's dirt cheap!
I think????? Depends how Grace is????

Happy Thanksgiving.

No shopping for me :frown: just spent my Christmas money on a new dryer, my decided to die, it was smoking so I unplugged everything and called the repair guy out and when he opened it up the wires inside were melted YIKES! Just glad I was home when it happened.

Had a scary drive home last weekend and managed to go spinning down the freeway on the ice while missing 3 different semi trucks. Our 8 hour drive turned into 13. We always talk to the boys about appropriate times to swear if you are going to do it. Well they certainly learned some new words from their father as well as an appropriate time to use them.

Somebody up there is definitely watching out for us this week. We have lots to be thankful for.

Enjoy your turkey and goodies and I hope everyone is feeling healthy

I am glad your family is ok! I hate driving in ice and, snow. Best thing about moving to Florida! Sorry to hear, about your dryer too.

Wow Jmrogers so glad to hear you guys are alright!

Counting my blessings this year too! This time last year it seemed we were never going to get the GP to say anything more than probably a virus. Our fear and frustration was only eclipsed by our worry as we watched C's health spiral downward.

It may seem odd to be thankful for his diagnosis but fear of the unknown enemy is much greater than that of a known enemy. So we are thankful, we know the fight that may lie ahead for C but we also know the strength he and other kids with this wretched disease posess. We are thankful, he may not yet have achieved remission but we feel it is attainable. We are thankful, we may not know all there is to know about IBD but the blessing of this forum and all its members give us comfort and strength as well as confidence to be the best health advocate we can be for our son!

So thanks everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!

:thumleft:So much to be thankful for!:thumleft:

My Twin just called and said the hospital is going to provide a few days of care for my nephew at his home so my nephew and her can spend Thanksgiving with all of us.
She going to surprise her 3 daughters and hubby tonight.

Now it will truly be a great Thanksgiving!:rosette2:

Farmwife - that is great news!
Jacqui - glad you are all safe!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone across the pond!

My fridge just broke (well actually the third fridge in the apartment where we keep the desserts)!!!! I am not kidding! Having and Italian, day before holiday meltdown...and before you ask...yes I vacuumed the coils so it hasn't overheated.

Hello to all my American buddies! :bigwave:

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in Oz but I think I might adopt it cause this is the time of year that Matt was diagnosed two years ago. A lot of you guys know what a heartbreaking time that was for me, and the following 6 months. But here we are 2 years down the track and what a difference! Yep, it surely is a time to be thankful. :):):)

So my wish for you all is a fab day spent with family and friends! Enjoy the food, enjoy the wine and enjoy the good company! Bon Appetit!

Happy (belated) Thanksgiving to all my favorite parents !

We had an amazing day, spent with family and friends.
I cooked for 2 days, and when it came time to sit down and eat...this momma was exhausted and not hungry! Soo...I was very thankful to watch everyone enjoy their meals, and I truly love hearing all of the compliments while they eat ! So, my tummy may have been empty, but my heart was full !

I hope you all had an amazing day as well!

Damn you T! I never got my tickets!
