I am happy to say that Budenoside is working wonderfully for me....but is now creating a dilemma.

I am trying to stay on a low residue diet but finding that between the diet and the Budenoside I am now a bit backed up.

Do I introduce some of the foods that I know will get things moving (salad, high fiber, etc.) but knowing that the reason they will get things moving is because they irritate my small intestine?

Thanks, in advance, for your advice!
This is me ------>:poo: LOL!

You could try taking a stool softener? If you've read my other posts you'll know I love Lactulose :) apparently you can theoretically take it everyday forever and it has no adverse side effects - all it does is encourage water into the bowel to make stools soft and move them along, so it shouldn't irritate you at all. Also it tastes ok, just follow it with lots of water to flush things out.

Also if you're already constipated putting fibre in might just make things worse, best to start increasing fibre intake slowly when you're 'empty', so your body can adjust.

Trying that may help, dunno but usually if meds are causing constipation then you need to increase your fluid intake. I'd try that before anything else.

Thanks Hannah-Rose and CrabbyRelish...I'm downing the H2O and will try the Lactulose if I can't fix with increased water intake. I appreciate your advice!
