Having problems with weight GAIN.

This sounds really weird, but I have Crohn's and I've been having major problems with weight gain. I was on Prednisone more than a month ago and I figured I'd lose weight after I got off of it, but I've been gaining instead. I've been thinking I might have a stricture because I've been somewhat constipated (and obviously I'm not going to lose weight if that is the case). Any ideas?

To be honest, there not lot I said maybe exercise and eating sensible which seem stupid but I am glad I am weight I am now OK need toning but rather be size I am now then what I was before being told about Crohns.

Hey Sara!

I'm new-ish too, and I got fat with crohn's and colitis. Uggh, so frustrating. I know a lot of crohnies do have that problem, especially if you were on pred. I got fat I think because when I'm really sick, I eat whatever I want and I'm stick thin. Then when I go into remission I keep my bad eating habits. That's my problem. So for me it's about maintaining a healthy diet in and out of remission.

I also hate the moon face that comes with pred. It took months to go away for me.

Have you been examined about the possible stricture?
