Oooh only a dark room and plenty of peace and quiet, obviously aside of painkillers blah de blah blah.

Sorry you are feelin sh*tty . . . .

Although by this hour hopefully you have some relief

Hi,
Some headaches are caused by tight neck muscles, or from sinus conditions. If you gently press your fingers around the base of the skull, where it meets the neck, you might find some tender spots to massage a little - or get someone to help. Even behind the jaw at the back of the ear gets tight... Good luck, those headaches are debilitating.

i use Rawleighs anti pain oil rubbed on the forehead and top lip so you inhale the fumes, also Migastick roll on, put it on the temples. i use both at once so dont know which one works, but the headache goes nearly instantly.

Thanks for the replies. This headache is killing me I'm also tempted to go to the er for some relief but I know it will only be temporary and could come back worse :( I feel like an old lady!!!

Is the pain throbbing or one sided? If it's that severe it might be a migraine. It might be too late for this headache but if you are having migraines they can try triptans to get rid of them. They work incredibly well for me (thank goodness) so I don't have to take any painkillers at all.

I feel like I've tried everything and nothing works. I feel like my head is going to explode everywhere. Ah

Awh I'm sorry you're still dealing with this. Triptans are drugs that specifically kill migraines. I take Imitrex when I have a migraine, and it gets rid of it after a few hours (as opposed to being in agony for a couple of days). The sooner you take them after migraine onset the more effective they will be at killing a migraine. I am not a doctor of course, but it sounds to me (based on duration and severity) that you are having a migraine. I hope you find some relief soon!

Looking at your sig, have you been taking those painkillers as well? It could be withdrawal from those giving you the headaches. Taking painkillers regularly can lead to "rebound headaches" because your body gets used to the painkiller being there.

I can sympathize with you. I suffer from chronic migraines and add that on top pf everything else, Yikes. If you are like me and a big caffeine drinker, you may have lower levels than you are used to. Try hot tea. Tea has more caffeine than coffee. A cold compress to the forehead may help, also meditation. I take injections of Imutrex when my attacks occur and it makes me throw up. No more headache but then who could tell with the doubling of the abdominal pain. Keep a log if you can and find out what you did that day before, what you ate, where you were (sporting event, movie, sitting in front of a computer) and so on. Then if the problem continues, talk to your doctor or get a referral to a Neurologist. Best of luck and hope this is a temporary thing.

Are headaches fairly common with crohns? I ask because I have them alot and I thought it was because the B-12 was low but blood tests were ok...

As far as a remedy one thing that seems to work a little is drinking mass quantities of water.
