It can be awful. Do you keep a food diary to figure out your triggers? Do you take anything for it antacids, PPIS?

Zantac and no all I can figure is it might be seasonings I had crawfish yesterday and I think it did it I have a ulcer and indulged in my favorite food but the this morning was a first for me but I have been getting more heartburn lately but has yet to have been like this morning I guess I should do a journal to keep track of thing so I can avoid wat makes it worst

Well if you are having such bad heartburn more than twice a week you may need prescription strength meds from your doctor.

There are other possibilities that can cause heartburn. If your body is slow in passing waste, it can then reduce the evacuation time from your stomach. Some gassy foods can also cause this same problem. You could have a hernia. I do agree it is not fun, and I can only go about 1-1.5 days without my pariet to keep my stomach in line. Might be worth checking into what is causing yours.

I agree it needs looking into. I had an endoscopy and was diagnosed with hiatus hernia. I take omeprazole 30mg daily.

I have the hernia too - diagnosing doc didn't tell me about it, just that my rabeprazole was to control it. Found out later. What ulcer symptoms are you referring to?

Well heartburn, stomach pains, getting full off of small amount of food, feeling really hungry at night and when waking and sometimes durning the day, light headness, dizzy, tarry bm, pain after eating, loud gurgling tummy is the symptoms I have

This actually sounds similar to the year or so leading up to my diagnosis. Are you currently diagnosed with something, and if so, what is the prescribed treatment for you? This doesn't sound just like a hernia or ulcers to me. The lightheadedness and dizziness has me thinking that your blood loss has been significant and you may be anemic. Have you had blood work done recently? If you have regular access to a GI doc, I think it would be good for you to visit soon. My gut feel is that there is something more active going on that needs to be addressed for you. Please take care...

Sounds more like either a stricture or inflammation, please get it checked out.

What is a stricture sorry so many questions I just like to understand it all thanks for being so helpful

I have been diagnosed with gerd so far no regular meds just nexum when needed I take it and it doesn't help me at all. I forgot to put inability to bm only when stimulated to and nausea lots of nausea and tired a lot. Sorry just so aggravated with not knowing that I ask a lot of stuff to try to figure something out

Oh and no blood work and no I don't have a regular GI cause if no insurance but I'm have to see about getting to see one at the charity hospital here and get the free care cause without insurance right now it's hard to get anything done here

A stricture is a permanent narrowing in your bowel, and it can cause many of the symptoms you are describing. They do cause a lot of the sounds that you mention - I have had many, and they unfortunately do not subside on their own or with medication. I do hope that you do not have them. If you do, you need attention. If you do have something like crohn's with stricturing, remicade can help as it does prevent stricturing from occurring. If you are referred, there are assistance programs to help you out.

Thanks for letting me know what that was I haven't heard of it the doctors here don't help much but I'm deffenatly see about seeing a GI dr hopely they can help me thanks again

Yea well I haven't well sorry for tmi but pooed in about four days well I've had small amount of small bm's like a rabbits so I'm call Monday to get a doc appt and get this problem fixed

~LiveLoveLaugh~

Ok well one more update my small bm is now fully tarry and with green mucus I don't know what it is now ugh my dang tummy

~LiveLoveLaugh~

Tarry = bleeding. Small rabbit style poos or ribbon poos suggest you have an inflammation or stricture near the end of your bowels. I have ribbon poo due to a very narrow rectal area that needs periodic dilatation. If you can wait until Monday, that's OK. If you get to the point of vomiting or you can no longer pass gas/stool, head to the hospital.

I'm having sorry forget to add that I must seem so cooky I just didn't know where esle to turn and y'all seem so helpful to others so I thought I'd ask y'all some of I'm feeling and see what to do cause I like said docs here tend not to help much so thanks

Shamrock15 can i ask what you mean by ribbon poos? This past while mine have been long and thing almost like worms if you get me? Sorry for the description lol.

Long and thin - sort of like ribbon you would use to tie hair. The green could be due to pigment in your food, possibly from unabsorbed bile.
