hello all

Hello everyone, i am new to the forum and would first like to say hello. I have been living with crohn's for about 25 years now as i'm 40 now. i have been through only one surgery, which gave me years of pain free living. As with all good thing it ended and the crohn's slowly crept back into my life. i do have a question for everyone, i had no luck on steriods they just made me sicker and i even developed a irregular heart beat has anyone had this issue?

Hi cabbell and welcome! I am sorry to hear your years of remission has come to an end. Did you take any maintance medication after your surgery? Are you taking any meds now besides steriods? I don't have any advice regarding steriods making your symptoms worse and causing an irregular heart beat, though I know many hate the drug do to its long list of side effects. You may get a better response in the Treatment forum. Once again, welcome!

I was really lucky i didnt have to take any after surgery meds.Now i take a pretty healthy dose of asacol which helps sum.Thank you for your kind replies
