:welcome: Welcome Tra, I read your story and it has a familiar ring to most of us. IBS is a condition and IBD is a disease. Very hard to diagnose until they get a biopsy if there is any inflammation present in the area of the Ileum or where ever your symptoms are. It is true many tests can come out negative, but bleeding isnt a necessary symptom, I don't bleed.

I can understand why your doctors dont want to give you drugs because they masks the symptoms and even harder for a diagnosis.

:hang: wait for the colonoscopy results, you should know at the time of the scope. WE are here for you. Keep us updated, whether you have IBD or not.

glad you found us!

thankyou for your kind response.
it helps to know im not alone with my bowel issues. i do not think my family or freinds quite understand how i feeling. ive stopped sayin anything now as im doin my own head in lol.
when i first went docs they tried to make out that i was depressed and had anxiety which im not i only feel like that bcus of how i feel. grr. im relli glad i have found this support group . obv i have not been diagnosed with anything yet but it helps to be prepared.
thanks again.
tra xx,

Hi Tra,
Welcome!!!
Sorry to hear you have been a bad time.
I can understand how frustrating it can be waiting for answers!! Personally I sometimes think the waiting is harder to cope with than the diagnosis! I hope you get some answers soon!!
keep us updated,
take care

Hi Tra and welcome!! Your story has a very familiar ring to it as I'm sure you've noticed if you've been reading much on here. From the difficulty in being diagnosed, to being told it's all in your head, yep you'll find several here with whom to commiserate. How the @#$%% is constant diarrhea all in your head. I've yet to see the logic in that. Good luck!!!

Hi Tra
and welcome fellow Brit
where are you?

glad you found us, we can help you in so many ways! you're no longer alone with this confusing disease. just wait for the scope and it's results. A lot of us have had either no dx or the dx of IBS, and no, it's not all in your head! It's real. A lot of us have also struggled with family members not understanding any of this too, but we know how you feel hun, so vent away here, someone always here to listen
take care
lotsa luv
