Hello,
I am 32 year old father of 2. My son is 8 and my daughter is 2. I have been married to a better women then I deserve for 9 years. My wife has been a life saver since I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in March of 2008. My Crohn's is limited to my large intestine. I've been lucky so far, only had 1 hospitalization and no surgeries. I struggle mostly with fatigue and adominal pain...not to mention the bathroom trips, but who doesn't go 10x a day.
I'm still looking for the "magic" combination to get me feeling well. It's been a rough couple of years. Some of the meds I've taken are Lialda, Asacol, Prednisone, and Azathioprine. Currently I'm taking 60 mg of Prednisone and 200mg of Azathioprine daily and they're not working well. I had another colonoscopy on last Thursday and it showed lots of ulcering and bleeding so the Gastro recommended we give Humira a try. I'm excited at the new possibility of a new treatment and feeling better.
As everyone here knows, this disease effects every aspect of your life. I hate feeling like I'm always letting people down because I just don't feel well enough to do anything. Especially my wife and kids.
Well that's a little about me. I look forward to talking with many of you.
