hi im new here im 18 years old my names jackie i have chrones.....i started getting symptoms when i was 13 and i got diagnosed when i was 14 ...docotrs couldn't figure out what was wrong i kept dropping weight and i was anemic and feeling ill..... I was very embaressed when i would have accidents because at the time i didnt no i had chrones i went threw a upper GI ...that barium stuff was the worst .....then i had a colonscopy and drinking that stiuff before was a big struggle for me but im 18 now and i havnt had any realy seroius flare up i might need surgery though because i have a big narrowing in my small intestine...thats my story thank u for reading

Welcome to the forum Jackie! I am about your age with Crohn's also, and last year had surgery to remove the narrowing I had in my intestines. Overall, the surgery was not that bad of a situation and it was definately the right move for me to make.

So do not worry what the future may hold, as I know for me the surgery allowed me to be totally healthy and feel better than I had for about 4 years. So good luck and feel free to ask any questions you desire to here!
