I have had Crohns disease since I was 12, 22 now. My old man was having a look around on the internet and came across "Helminthic therapy".
There are a few threads on this site but I couldn't find anything up-to-date and was hoping to find a few people that have taken or still using this treatment.
From what I can make out it's essentially putting a parasite into the body which then eats away at the infected tissue/area.

It does sound like it's worth giving it a shot. Going to my specialist next month and have a chat with him about it.

Hi I have not heard of it I'm sorry, but I guess there is no harm in asking your GP. I guess it works kinda like the maggots treatment to clean infected tissue up. Let us know how you get on please. Best wishes 💕

Yeah sounds like a similar sort of thing. There are a few threads from 5 years ago on here, people tracked how they got in. One lady tried this out and it completely removed the disease which is incredible.

The helmniths (worms) do not actually eat the diseased tissue, or aleast if they do that is not what causes the healing/cure. The worms have evolved with us and have the ability to regulate the immune system to prevent it from killing them which in turns works to stop the immune systems hyperactive state in the gut which is thought to cause IBD's. Here is a URL to a paper on the topic bmcimmunol.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12865-015-0074-3

Best of luck.
