I am new to the website, so I am not sure where to post my questions.

My husband has been having tummy troubles for a week. He had abdominal pain all last week. It was not a severe pain, just uncomfortable. On Sunday, he began having a few sharp pains below his belly button and low fever (100.5). Trip to the ER. Bloodwork showed elevated white blood cell count. Ct scan showed thickened small bowl, appendix (maybe, they kept changing thier story) and stomach (that what they said.) Monday morning around midnight, his pain went away and he felt fine. He has had no upset stomach, vomitting, bleeding, or any 'severe' pain. He saw 4 dr's, two said yep its crohns, 2 said it may be crohns, colitis, or something else. They release him. Today he has had a few pains here and there but not anything to bad. He does not feel "sick" but isn't eating as much (think its his nerves, the dr described Crohn's and got him a bit freaked out. He has had a bit of diareah today, but he was on clear liquid diet yesterday and has not ate much today. ( I think he is scared to eat, because of what the dr said about crohns.)

Also, a few night this week he has woke up to pee at night. he will feel fine until after he pees. Then he has abdominal pain (not bad, just enough to keep him from falling back asleep.) He takes tylenol and the pain goes away.

Does this sound like the beginning of a Crohn's Disease?? I know yall are not doctors, but who better to ask than people who have the disease.

Could be many things. I would suggest some ginger tea to help with stomach aches/pains. A hot water bottle also helps soothe the belly. Google "Bikram Wind Removing Pose" and have him do it twice daily. That will help keep the circulation in the belly and make sure things are moving along. He is being given warning signs, so he needs to attend to his health before it gets worse. Belly rubs (circles around belly button) from right side to left and around will make a HUGE difference in his overall belly health. At least five minutes as often as possible, throughout the day (in the car, watching tv, etc.) will also help bring circulation to the area and help heal it. An Eastern doc got me started on that and it has been a great tool to cope. Bottom line, get circulation to the area and help the body heal itself. Read up and make sure he is eating and drinking healthy and hopefully he can avoid disease. Good luck!
