Help - Having a flare up

Hi All,
I am having a rather bad flare up. Been happening since Friday. Many visits to toilet, spasms accross abdomen, lots of pain, cant eat, blood in stools. Being put on steroids again. Can I use immodium too or should I avoid?

Personally, I don't like to use Immodium as I still get the cramping and bloating. So I would want to wait and see. I think Immodium would be OK if you really needed to leave the house for something, but not too many doses close together, or you risk side effects.

I normally take one dose of Imodium daily, since I don't want to be running to the restroom many times a day while working. I work as a bank teller, might have a customer when the need to run hits. For me, it seems if I am going to bloat, that will happen with or without the Imodium.

Imodium helps me grealty and definitely helps with the frequency of bathroom trips in a day. I don't notice a difference in bloating with or without taking it as long as things keep moving. If I take too much of it and really slow up the BM, then I get bloated.
