I am 32 and a diagnosis of endometriosis made in 2009.

3 yrs ago I started getting really bad dizziness like a spinning sensation.
The dizziness is still here with crippling fatigue. I am only moving my bowel once a week and it's either constipation with black stool or severe diahorrea and agonising pain.

After moving my bowels I get a soreness in my abdomen and also specific points that almost feel I've been stabbed with a hot poker.
My digestion has got worse and have to avoid a lot of different foods. I get a lot of trapped gas that makes me feel so sick.

The dizziness by far is the worst symptom. Pretty much always there but varies on how bad. Also so much pain in my knees.
I get a regular headache with eye pain that can effect my vision.

Do these symptoms ring a bell with anyone with Crohn's???

Hello and welcome,

Some of your symptoms are highly correlative to Crohn's, while others really not. You will have to further investigate in order to gather more info.
Did you see a GI ?
Have you done a colonoscopy or some scopes ? Maybe stool tests ?

Hope things clear out soon for you

I was seen by one two years ago and had an endoscopy only.
Diagnosed with 2 stomache ulcers, acid reflux and gastritis.

Previous blood work has shown folic acid and iron deficiency

Did the dizziness coincide with the iron deficiency? It sounds like you may be losing blood through the black stool which won't help.

Are you seeing any specialists at the moment who could organise some up to date investigations? Have you had an MRI since these symptoms developed? With endometriosis it's worth having as a non invasive starting point as it can sometimes be affecting things too. Hope things get worked out.

Iron deficiency was picked up last year on a routine blood test done because of fatigue.

I'm not under any specialists at the moment. Surgery performed ladt year to remove endometriosis implants and adhesions.
I think once you have a diagnosis for one thing all symptoms are put down to that.

I agree it can be difficult to be investigated for other dxs when you have one that might account for some of symptoms. It sounds like whatever is going on its complex / more than one thing.

I think the black stool is concerning, have you reported that to any of your doctors? I would organise to see a GI again. They may well want to do a colonscopy this time which would be useful both for Crohns and deep bowel endometriosis. They can also help treat vit and mineral deficiencies. Good luck.
