My 3 yr old had an upper GI today. She has had throat and gut issues for a while, hoarseness, food refusal, regressing to baby food, stomach pains, constipation.
She also has gluten intolerance, so she did a gluten challenge to check for celiac disease.
Her dad has crohns so it is a possibility that h h crossed our minds.
The diagnosis they are working through
Tonsilitis- slightly swollen but never has fever ruled out
Eosinophilic eosophagitis - scope looked clean, but have to wait for biopsies
But the surgeon said they found a red section that was either a hematoma or blood clot. Has anyone had this as an indication of IBD? Our concerns are half heartedly being listened to as "statistically" she doesn't fit the profile of a person at risk of crohns.
