Hemorrhoids

In my situation the hemorrhoids are a result of going to the bathroom a lot. Either the runs or even mild constipation will cause the damn things.

I had semi-internal hemorrhoids for several months last year (first time ever). They were triggered by a flare.
If hemorrhoid can cause more bowel movements? I dont think so.
however when I got them, I felt a constant pressure in my anal region. It felt a bit like constipation I guess. And I was trying to push while on the toilet at the beginning when I didnt know what it was. I didnt know this was H and thought I had more stool to expel. that was the feeling I got.

I just had a resection to remove a stricture and repair two fistulas. I felt great for a few days, then developed a terrible hemorrhoid flare. I've tried everything! Witch hazel, hydrocortisone suppositories, mineral oil, Sitz baths 3 times a day- nothing seems to help. Seeing surgeon on Friday.

Hi Ron, I have/did have haemorrhoids that were severely inflamed along with multiple fissures (I will see if I still have them when I have my flexible sigmoid on Friday), but mine were bought on by inflammation in my rectum, which was caused by severe diarrhoea. Most cases of haemorrhoids are caused by constipation and excess straining, but this is not the case with me. It's not black and white with how they are caused, but all I do know is they hurt and they actually make me constipated through no fault of my own!

I've ordered Hem-Relief from Amazon and the cream that starts with a "c". The other cream mentioned is only sold in the UK and would take too long to arrive. I'll post back with results. I'm ready to move forward, already!🙄

Isn't this disease fun? Not an embarrassing moment to be had!!
I too have this problem, kinda hard not to with CD!!

I hope everyone gets better soon.

It turned out to be a fissure, not hemorrhoids after all. Doc prescribed me diltiazem 2% gel to apply 3 times a day. Getting better, slowly!
