Hemotologist today: need transfusion

I went to the hematologist. My blood is low enough to get a transfusion (Lost 3 units in a week!

But they want to see if the Prednisone will stop the bleeding so they are waiting. I burst into tears like a baby-- really hard. My dr is so sweet. He hugged me and said "Its the predizone dear, it does it to everyone.

He made me feel better. I also got a B 12 shot. Dealing with DH indifference and nasty attitude is harder that dealing with any disease.

Will be interesting to see if I get the transfusion. I can't go under 28 with my heart problem, 29 now.

I had a transfusion after surgery. It's not so bad. You'll definitely feel better.
I'm also on Pred. Hope you feel better soon!

i had a blood transfusion too. it was pretty uneventful, just felt like any other iv drip.
