Hernia, scar tissue or something else?

Hi all,
I had a resection surgery in June and the scar is vertical and runs through my belly button. Last night I noticed a bulge in the side of my belly button. Like someone is pushing their finger in my belly button from the inside. It doesn't hurt but I am kind of freaking out. I have a doc apt tomorrow. Any one experiance this? Any ideas?

it does sound like it could be a hernia...make sure you tell your doc!

I had a small hernia and that is exactly what it looked like. Dr wasnt too concerned unless it hurt when he pushed on it which it didnt. He still did a repair but that was mainly so he could cut out the old scar and neaten it up a bit. Surprisingly though my stomach is still distened on one side.
