Hi everyone,
My name is nick, I was diagnosed with crohn's about ten years ago, I'm now 34 and although I knew in myself I had crohn's the hospital treated me for a rumbling appendix! For 3 years I was going back and fourth to the doctors and A&E complaining of tummy pains. And after all that time they kept telling me it was all in my head and that their was nothing wrong with me, it wasn't till I went to A&E and refused to go home that they finally listened and arranged to take my appendix out. I couldn't stress to them enough that I knew in myself I had crohn's because my elder sister had not long been diagnosed with it, and I was having the same kind of symptoms as she was! But still I was told I had no signs of crohn's in my x-rays, bloods and endoscopy. They still went ahead with a operation to take my appendix out, and I'm glad they did because my bowel was ready to give because of crohn's. Now after five operations, many tests and all the drugs in the world! I'm still till this day suffering with crohn's. I've never really spoke to people about it till now, this is why I have joined and if anyone wants to share their experiences, I would love to hear them. I also have lots more to share to anyone who's interested.
