I got diagnosed with Crohn's in early 2010, and had a small bowel re section that year, started Remicade about a month after that.
The past month or so I've been feeling really ill... Having Crohn's symtoms, but my Colonoscopy was surprisingly okay despite having inflammation markers recently prior. (and I'm still having abdominal pain and horrible sight!)
I have never gotten any infections before really? At least none I remember. But about a month and half ago my ear got all scaly and almost tearing (behind my ear, not in!) so I found out today that I have an infection there, and up in my nasal cavity "there is the same bacteria as behind the ear" according to my doctor.
Are these infections harmful to me, could they be the cause of my Crohn's symptoms cause my body is extra weak cause of it? Also, think it could be Remicade? Cause I don't wear glasses, or do anything that is what usually agitates this up I guess. I don't know if she told me what behind my ear was... Looks like dermatitis to me, but don't think so now...?
Also, I developed this rash on my breast and found out that it's called Pityriasis Rosea; generally caused by a virus I guess. Which appeared around the same time as the dermatitis/not dermatitis thing. Oh and if you look at pictures it is not NEARLY as horrible as those pics! Mine just looks like a 2 inch blotch of blush powder almost. Not even itchy or bothersome whatsoever.
