Hi everyone

Just found this forum by chance and it looks really great! I'm a 39 year old from Scotland and have had Crohn's since I was 15. I have an ileostomy and as my Crohn's is still active in my small bowel, I've had quite a few other op's too. I tend to keep well in between major flare ups ( after a few of which i usually end up getting some more bowel cut out).

Anyway I like to stay super positive and at the moment life is just great! After years of trying my husband and I had a baby boy called Jack on our first attempt at IVF. He's now 10 months and the absolute joy of my life! As i'm still keeping well, we've decided to go for it again and are in the middle of more IVF, hoping for a brother or sister for Jack! Really positive about everything and trying not to think how I'll cope with 2 babies under 2years!!:ysmile: Here's hoping!!

Am pretty busy at the moment with Jack, but in my spare time I like to write and meet up with friends and although I'm still on maternity leave until the end of July, I'm a lawyer and am going back to work part-time at the end of July.

Would love to chat to anyone in a similar position to me.

Congratulations on Jack! That's wonderful. My sister is trying IVF so that's very inspiring.

Sounds like you life must be pretty busy with looking after Jack and also being a lawyer, suprised you have the enrgy for it. Welcome to the forum anyway and hope its of some use to you

Hi Julie! Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your sweet son. My husband and I were in a similar situation. We adopted our son when he was a day old, and when he was six months old, I found out that I was expecting our daughter. Please make yourself at home here in the forum.
