I was diagnosed with Crohn's back in 96' and was very lucky to have been in remission all these years up until the past 1 1/2. When I was diagnosed with it I didn't have to many symptoms and the doctor's didn't know to much about it so I was put on medication and just continued on living. The past year has been the worse for me I even just spent a week int he hospital! I have Crohn's in the rectum which apparently is the worst place to have it. I am not ready for the surgery so I am trying everything else first. However I have always had issues with my weight.........I am one of the patients with Crohn's that NEVER lost weight! Now I have been on prednisone since January and have gained about 20 pounds and I am depressed with this weight gain...........yes I know it is helping my symptoms but that is about it. I am trying alot of different medications right now to get back in remission so I am trying to take it day by day but it is really hard to think positive. Any advice??

Welcome aboard cooljules glad to have you here!!! :D

My advice is to do what you said is difficult and that is stay positive no matter what. The less stress you are under the better you will feel. This forum is a good place to discuss your concerns and worries, hopefully it will make you feel better once you have vented what is on your mind :)
